Time to shop……..

We’ve finally restocked our etsy shop! Head over to find our protective mosaic mats, and some of our lovely scarves!

With this cold snap, it’s definitely scarf weather!!!

What else of ours would you like to see on our etsy shop?

Wrap up warm, and enjoy the weekend,

It’s getting hot in here…….

So we better protect our surfaces!!! All the work  on renovating the house, has inspired me to get creative with grout, so I’ve been busy with the mosaics.  I created one of these for myself last year, as I wanted something pretty on my dressing table to protect the surface from my straightening irons.  It’s tested really well- with the grout withstanding the heat from both curling irons and straighteners.  What do you think? I love the blue tonal one!

If you would like one, or would like to commission one in your bedroom colours, get in touch either by phone or email.  Each Mosaic Mat is £10, with £3 p&p.  I will try and get them onto the etsy shop soon!

‘Tis the Season……

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our winter fayres had to be cancelled. It’s a shame, but these things happen! However, we have been busy with our lovely clays, which were really popular at the fayre we did last year.dsc06674

Handmade at our Sutton Coldfield studio, we love the textured paint finish.  All clay’s are just £3.95 (with £1 P&P), we take paypal payments.  Why not order something for the tree?

We have some new designs, literally drying as I type! Check out our facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/BaaBaa-Crafts-408741185976725/  tomorrow for our latest makes! Kx

Our House……….

As November roles on, our house is slowly beginning to feel like home.  The clay has been out, busy making lots of festive goodies, but this pic of a clay made before the move is feeling quite apt!

I’m working on something to play tribute to our new home – pics to follow!

Leather and Tweed……

I’m very particular with fabric and colour selection when it comes to seasons. That’s why I think our latest range of tweed and leather is just perfect for this time of year!

I’m still waiting for an email confirmation,  but I’m hoping that I will be able to share our winter fayre timetable with you soon!

Shake those tail feathers……..

I can’t believe it’s autumn already! 2016 has been a really busy year filled with house moves, new schools, and lots of weddings! We’re trying to get things sorted and back on track- ready for our winter season!

I’ve have been taking inspiration from my Europe trip, and especially the peacocks that I saw in Nancy, France.  I found an amazing number of free roaming peacocks in  Pepiniere park , Nancy.

I’ve used this inspiration for one of my latest knits – a beautiful chiffon scarf.  It sits beautifully and captures the intricate detailing of the the peacocks feathers.  I hope you like!

Well, keep your eyes peeled over on our Facebook page – we hope to have exciting news on our Winter Fair timetable soon. Have a lovely weekend.

A spring chorus……..

I just love Spring! And it’s the burst of life in the garden that has inspired our latest collection.  We just love this navy floral fabric- so fresh for Spring!

With a focus on our vintage styled head wear, we have used the fabric to make a fabulous fifties inspired wired headband, and the giant bow we have attached to a black headband.  As other separates, we just love the peter pan collar and floral brooch!

Well, off for some more sewing!!

Hanging Around……..

With Easter just round the corner, have you got the Spring Clean bug? We just can’t stop cleaning and sorting, refreshing everything from wardrobes to house decor.  With that in mind, have you seen our super cute hanging clay decorations?

Buy yours today from The Saxon Hill Scrap Barn, at Chasewater, open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10-2.

A little concession……….

It’s been a very busy week here at Baa Baa, and we have exciting news! I volunteer at The Saxon Hill Craft Barn, an amazing venture, and in their words,

‘The Saxon Hill Craft Barn is an Arts and Craft store with recycling at its heart. We hold a variety of interesting materials & merchandise from fabric, wool, buttons & haberdashery to cardboard tubes, paper, plastic, picture frames & books. Even wooden crates, cable reels & mannequins on occasion. All these along with core range of new art products make us an exciting arts & crafts resource.

Be you a student, artist, crafter, kids’ clubs, sewing groups, or school this Aladdin’s Cave has something for everyone!

The Craft Barn set up by Saxon Hill Community School in Lichfield, is an inspiring community project based at Chasewater Country Park, which whilst being a wonderfully inexpensive store, also provides young disabled people with supported training and assisted work placements.’

The Craft Barn has had a bit of a make over and have introduced concessions into the store.  When I was offered the chance to display my items, I jumped at the chance to support this amazing place!

Feeling a little nostalgic ……..

It’s been a busy start to the year – I had a little time off over Christmas, and have been a bit unwell, however, the past couple of weeks I have felt stronger and started crafting again!  Our stock took quite a battering after the craft fayre, so I’ve been busy making lots of exciting things.

I have been studying vintage hair styles for my beauty business, and when I did my training course, I fell in love with the wired headbands we were using.  So have decided to have a go at making my own.

What do you think? I have such a soft spot for tartan and polka dots!!!!

With a distinctly retro vibe going on at the crafting table, I then made these cute things!!!

Our 50’s inspired cherry brooch is a super cute way to add a splash of colour to your outfit.
